Chris Hoyt

Chris grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has spent the majority of his life in Seattle. He attended the University of Washington where he obtained a finance degree from the Foster Business School. While in college, Chris began traveling and building websites for companies in Central America. He taught English in Indonesia in the summer of 2009. After graduation, Chris worked at Microsoft, as an analyst and marketer. He left Microsoft in 2013 to begin building Langua Travel. In addition to work, Chris serves on the board and volunteers for Invest in Youth, a Seattle non-profit. Chris is able to fulfill his passion for surfing in many of the places he visits and particularly loves designing surf trips for families. When in Seattle, you will find Chris biking around his neighborhood, playing guitar, shooting hoops, and staying involved in his local community.

Kevin Merritt

Kevin is a co-founder of Langua Travel. He has a background in web application development, database design and computer programming. He studied at The University of Washington and earned a degree in Informatics. Since graduation, Kevin has lived in California, Iowa, North Carolina, Connecticut, and New York. He currently resides in Brooklyn. When he's not shipping code, Kevin enjoys traveling and exploring the neighborhoods of NYC by bike. His favorite programming language is Ruby. He also enjoys sampling the food and culture of Spain, especially the jamón.

Audrey Hoyt

Audrey is a Pacific Northwest native. She attended the University of Washington, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor through the Jackson School of International Relations. She also studied the History of Economic Thought at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She spent her college summers studying at Spanish language schools in Central America and Spain. After graduation, she began working for the outdoor expedition company, Alpine Ascents International, where she handled operations and accounting. She then moved into the investment industry, earned her Series 7 license and worked as a financial consultant managing investment portfolios. In 2013, she left finance to pursue her passion for travel by working with her husband, Chris. Additionally, Audrey is a 200-hour YTT licensed yoga teacher, and has studied art, design, and architecture. Audrey is always seeking adventure and outdoor challenges. Trail running, skiing, backpacking and yoga, are some of her favorite activities, and she has recently learned to love surfing!
