Seville (Sevilla) is a friendly city located in the south of Spain. The city the capital of the Andalucía region and is known for its pleasant weather, historical architecture, and welcoming and attractive locals. Like neighboring Andalucían towns, Seville shows a great deal of Moorish influence in its built environments, music and culture. Andalucía is also the birthplace of flamenco and no trip to Seville would be complete without witnessing a live performance of this captivating music and dance.
The DQ school in Seville consists of 18 classrooms spread throughout a grand Andalusian palace. Students can enjoy an espresso and a snack on one of the many sunny terraces, or use the free high speed WiFi to catch up on email. The campus is located in the heart of the historic old town, near shops, restaurants and bars, and just a few blocks from the Plaza del Toros and the cathedral.
Spanish immersion programs begin every Monday throughout the year.
The Standard 20 program consists of four daily Spanish immersion lessons plus one daily bonus workshop focused on current events and Spanish culture. Students will receive 20 total lessons and 5 bonus workshops* per week totaling 20 hours and 50 minutes. Courses will focus on conversation skills, grammar, discussion, vocabulary and reading, listening and writing exercises. The five bonus workshops are not included during the Christmas season.

A more rigorous program, the Intensive 30 course consists of five daily Spanish immersion lessons, plus one daily bonus workshop focused on current events and Spanish culture. Students will receive 30 total lessons and 5 bonus workshops* per week totaling 29 hours and 10 minutes. Courses will focus on conversation skills, grammar, discussion, vocabulary and reading, listening and writing exercises.

(Private room, no meals) For more independent travelers, a shared apartment can be an ideal accommodation option. Guests will share common areas and kitchen with a roommate(s) but have their own private bedroom. Free WiFi, bed linens, towels, welcome amenities, access to fully equipped kitchen and laundry room, shared bathroom, television, and utilities are included in the price. Apartments are close to public transportation and the school campus.

(Private room, half-board) Staying in a homestay in Seville is a great way to experience the culture of Spain firsthand, while getting extra Spanish listening and conversation practice. Host families are hand selected by the school accommodation staff and provide two meals per day, plus free WiFi, linens, towels and bedding. Laundry service is also provided once per week, free of charge.

(Private room, half-board) Students who want extra privacy, but also to live near other immersion students, find that the private rooms in the student residence guest house are a great fit. Students are issued their own locking bedroom with study desk (similar to a university dormitory), but share bathrooms and common areas with other Spanish students. Daily breakfast and dinner, WiFi, cleaning service, bed linen, towels and welcome amenities are included in the price.

The school will be closed on the following public holidays. Missed classes due to holidays will not be made up, except in the case that two holidays fall in the same week.
Students flying from overseas can either fly directly into San Pablo Seville International Airport (SVQ), or fly into the larger Malaga (AGP) or Madrid (MAD) airports and take the train to Seville. Train tickets can be booked directly through Renfe (Spain's national train network) or through Rail Europe, a third party provider.
The school can arrange private airport pickup from the airport or train station (Santa Justa) in Sevilla for 85 Euro.

Like all DQ campuses, the school in Seville uses the Don Quijote interactive method of teaching Spanish. Fully accredited by the Instituto Cervantes in Madrid, the Don Quijote organization has been a leader in Spanish language education for decades.
Students will take a placement test before their first class and be placed in to one of six levels based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2).
All students, even complete beginners, will speak only Spanish in class from day one. At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion with their level. Syllabi are available upon request.
