Standard 20 English consists of a total of 15 hours or 20 lessons of English lessons per week. The first 12 lessons provide trainings on your Integrated English skills-Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation. The second 12 lessons focus on Targeted English skills to develop one of your "four skills" (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing) in order to improve your general English proficiency.

EC Boston Semi-Intensive 24 English

With Standard 20 English, Semi-Intensive 24 English adds an extra of 4 lessons with Special Focus each week. This gives you trainings on your fundamental English skills and additional progress in your personal areas of interest. Some options include Media Studies, Film Studies, Grammar in Real Contexts, Write Now, the Language of Music and more.

EC Boston Intensive 30 English

Intensive English adds 10 more lessons to the Standard 20 English course. In addition to the 20 hours of general English training, this program enhances your English skills and cultural knowledge with a special focus on areas such as Media Studies, Film Studies, Grammar in Real Contexts, Write Now, and the Language of Music.

EC Boston Exam Preparation Standard 24

Exam Preparation Standard 24 English totals 24 lessons per week with a strong focus to improve students' exam taking skills and English proficiency. This class is offered as a combination of General English trainings and Exam Preparation practices. IELTS and TOEFL are available at this location. Minimum age 16. Minimum stay 1 week.

The Exam Preparation Intensive 30 program is designed for students who are confident in their current English language skills and desire to only focus on learning exam-taking skills. This course helps students acquire techniques necessary for getting higher scores on English tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, GRE. Only IELTS and TOEFL focus available at this location. Minimum age 16. Minimum stay 1 week.

EC Boston Academic Intensive 30

Academic Intensive 30 English offers a mix of 20 General English lessons and 10 lessons on refining skills you need in order to succeed in an English-speaking university. These 10 lessons focus on areas such as writing assignments on specific topics, listening to lectures and taking effective notes, and preparing and giving academic presentations. Some other topics may include referencing, how to avoid plagiarism and other concrete tips on succeeding in college. Minimum age 16. Minimum stay 1 week.

EC Boston Business Intensive 30

The Business Intensive 30 course combines 20 lessons of General English with 10 lessons of Business English trainings. In this class, you will be able to gain linguistic skills in the context of building an international career. Some areas of expertise taught in this class include negotiating contracts, management and HR, branding and promotional strategies, project management, company budgets, business ethics and CSR. Minimum age 16. Minimum stay 1 week.

EC Boston Culture Intensive 30

Culture Intensive 30 English is open for students who have a strong interest in exploring the history, story and culture of the city, while enhancing English language skills in practice. Each week, students will have the opportunity to spend some of the lessons outside of classroom, visit various places, and fully engage with the local community. Some classroom study will also support themes ranging from "Talk like a Local-Neighborhood Visits" to "The Language of Sports-Stadium Visits". Minimum 16 years. Minimum stay 1 week.

Apartment-Style Housing in Boston

EC Boston offers apartment-style housing for students who wish to live with their friends or meet new people! Each apartment consists of one single room with a private bathroom and a shared bedroom with a shared bathroom. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable couch set and a big screen TV. All apartments are mixed-gendered. Living at an apartment gives you a great opportunity to cook your own meals, arrange your lives and learn how to be independent.
