Nosara Spanish Institute

Learn Spanish in Nosara, Costa Rica

The Area & School

The Spanish school is located in the center of Playa Guiones, the main beach in Nosara. The beach is about a ten minute walk from campus and there are a handful of delicious restaurants in the area. Nosara is a town for nature lovers and surfers with miles of beautiful beaches buffered by dense tropical jungle. Locals never miss a chance to congregate on the beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset, and at night, almost all artificial lights shut off and the stars come out by the millions. You won't find pavement or chain hotels here, just dirt roads, delicious food, yoga, surf and good vibes. Nosara is located on the Nicoya Peninsula along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica in the Guanacaste region. Playa Guiones, the section of Nosara where the school is located is a nature reserve, so no development exists on the beach. It is not uncommon to see monkeys, sloths and tropical birds in the canopy while walking to get your morning coffee.

FAQ

Which hotels are recommended if one is attending a school in Nosara?

I usually recommend either Harbor Reef or Nosara Paradise if you are looking for a mid-range option. For Nosara Paradise, we usually can get a special rate on individual guest rooms. Alternatively, if money isn't an object, Harmony Hotel is beautiful. All three are within walking distance of the beach and the school campus.
